The tree is up, the lights are strung and the stockings are hung!

In other portions of my home decorating and redecorating on a whim is how we do it. My Christmas tree on the other hand is completely the opposite. I like my tree to be decorated with the traditions and memories of our family. Ornaments have been passed on through the generations, others are handmade like these glittery ornaments and our salt dough ornaments while some have been acquired one by one over the years.
I kept a decorations relatively simple this year. A wooden tree and reindeers propped next to a strand of beaded garland that instantly adds a touch of holiday glamour is all that it took to make a merry vignette on top of the bookshelf that sits near the Christmas tree.
A couple white Hydrangea blooms in an old jar sit on the coffee table. While cinnamon scented pinecones fill the air with the spirit of the holiday are placed in a rustic wooden bowl. MoreĀ white poinsettias flank the fireplace and decorated mantel we recently share here.
The paperwhites have been growing happily next to the warmth of the fireplace and are about ready to bloom just in time for Christmas
Soon the presents will fill underneath the tree and the cookies and milk will be laid out for Santa and his reindeer.
Now if only I could get my gift wrapping done we’d be in business!

Where did you get your scroll work deer and tree. I’ve been looking for those for several years now and yours are the first I’ve found other than the ones I used to have. I’ll email you also, but if you could tell me where they came from or even what brand they are, I would be so grateful.
